Who buys beaver fetuses? I know I've seen somewhere before where there's a market for them. The beaver I butchered today had 4 good sized (5") peachfuzzed fetuses inside her. (Pics can be provided if it's appropriate).

Antis would likely throw a fit if they could get ahold of that picture. It's okay for them to kill human fetuses however!

5”? That’s tiny. The ones I recently pulled out were a good 10-12” out of the sacs.

Haven't done it for some years now. But I traded some with a taxidermist for dollars off on mounts he was doing for me. I never sold any on taxidermy sites. I had local would buy or trade for them. Ask around you might have locals want them.

The oddity market is where fetal animals of any kind is growing.
People , collectors. Buy the fetal animal and preserve with formalin and alcohol and set in a jar with airtight lid...several good articles online for preserving "wet specimens" as they are called in the trade...the least of my concern is antis talking about trapped fetal animals...if anything you are being resourceful and not just wasting the fetuses.
I personally like the humanity debate they use with animals especially as it pertains to abortion, they usually hush up real quick

If you’re worried about “unfriendly media” then this entire site needs shut down. Anything on here could be twisted and used.

Don’t have to twist anything on this thread. Anybody that has trapped beaver late season or nuisance has experienced it. Certainly could have been handled through PM.

Carry on.

I have someone who buys all of them. They can be frozen but requires they remain in the embryonic sac.

If only the antis knew that they are responsible for much greater numbers of beaver being trapped out of season as a nuisance animal because they have depressed the fur market(when animals were not trapped when they were reproducing)-too valuable as a fur asset as opposed to devalued as a nuisnace to be gotten rid of at all costs..
