The Academy Donna and I conduct in Kansas is a wrap for 2022 and this year's trappers set a new record - 37 coyotes in 6 checks. An absolutely great bunch from all over this nation who all came with a can-do attitude. They really got the job done in spite of some wild weather! 7 returning alumni and 5 first time attendees put the thumpin' to yotes. We realize it's not easy at all when you take a "small army" into each field but this year's group was committed to put fur in the truck and they sure did. There are tactics that help in that effort and they applied them extremely well. We wish them great trapping in the future. Blessings! Mark and Donna

Outstanding, you must be about as good of a teacher as you are a coyote man!

Outstanding, you must be about as good of a teacher as you are a coyote man! LL, Thanks partner. I know that when we have 13 people standing in an area, we have a "small army," which means we do miss some dogs. Which leads to "teaching moments!" It's a real run a trap line experience all the way around. Blessings, Mark

Do you teach them how to put them up etc?
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Do you teach them how to put them up etc? I don't. I think they can learn that at a convention demo or a book/video. What I do is hands on, in the field, fur trapping and predator control strategies. Everyone sets traps at multiple locations and we see how the coyotes respond and go from there. I have glanded a few out in years past and I do show what "parts" to use on the line. Blessings, Mark

Good job, Mark. I don't see no blood! Correct Lee. They all succumbed to your Death Ray. They're the best thing since apple pie. Blessings, Mark

Non-target catch was 2.5%. These trappers meant business! We've taken a stand on using certain products (thumbs up or thumbs down) based on our experience and 6 previous years of trappers filling the Academy and we are implementing those concepts with great results.
We're "tightening up" as we say.
Fur or ADC line.
