He probably had to poop.
Seriously though, I'm kinda (but not too) shocked the dispatcher would hang the call up. Unless you weren't the only one who called and someone else was already feeding them the info.
That's one of those instances where you want to follow just to see what the outcome was.

Scary
No wonder so many don't feel comfortable bicycling on the roads I wish bicyclists would fear for their life if the get within 10 feet of a road. Here they own the road. They control the country roads by riding where you can't get around them. Worst part about it is we have bike trails they could use, but prefer to slow everyday working people from getting different jobs throughout the day. Bikes should be outlawed from country roads around here. Sorry, rant over

I agree Adam i hope they got him stopped !
As for bicyclists we get a few up here in the middle part of Mt and on these narrow 2 lane roads it can be dangerous for everyone there's a lot of logging and grain trucks hauling loads not to mention heavy wide loads going down the same roads .
Yes they have a right to be on the roads also but they will survive a trip into the ditch way better doing it themselves over being pushed there with the front of a truck .

Any man that wears one of those little plastic hats and yoga pants out in public has some bad mental health issues. I think maybe their mommy's didn't hug em enough so they seek attention from strangers. They don't get enough of that either so they obstruct traffic and pretend not to know why people are upset with them. Remind me of women who jog half naked in the middle of the day down the sidewalk of heavy traffic roads. Lets em complain about men starring at them. Might be a running track around a park or a bike trail only a a quarter mile away but they dont get any attention then.

The intoxicated driver must not caused a crash I haven't seen any news coverage last night or today. I really hope he was caught. You know -- a few years ago that would have been front page news --- now you are lucky if you can get a cop to show up (not the cops fault) -- police are mop up crew in our neck of the woods now.

I'm not surprised to hear that. There's a shortage nationwide crime is rampant and police are under a microscope. Usually there's always several LEO on these 2 major roads. Knowing my luck there wasn't one even close in the area.
Now that I think about it, I'm surprised there wasn't one LEO on the major road where this occurred. That's how often police or SO are on that road. If there was an accident it would've been on the news especially since dispatch recieved call(s) about it. You are giving the media too much credit. I used to play firefighter and cop (many years ago) I call it playing because I was never full time at in any of those positions. -- the media was bad then about wrong information and it has gone nothing but downhill since then. I have supported Police, Fire, Medical -- my whole life but have been having a hard time supporting them now.

its seems odd that the dispatcher didnt keep you on the phone probably knew they weren't going to have a car there any time soon or had other calls to get to, eveyr politicain seems to think running the 911 center on minimum staff to save $$ is a good idea these days that is another rant for another time , so the play by play is just excruciating knowing no car will be there for 10 , 15 , 20 minutes they drive through jurisdictions in a few minutes each often. i have followed several line to line , into the gravel , usually texting when I do pass them , one like that on Saturday as I pass my wife looks down and over and can see the guys face lit up by the phone stayed on the phone cross the county ,been transferred to the next county , finally i am where I was going or they turn off
