I snared bunch beaver but not much in years, like traps better, hope set out Friday an possibly high water an only snare work, some day work well with 2 snare set under bridge ? I have had limited success , with snare fake trail set but beaver are not real thick where do it at

I use a foothold at locations and sign that call for a foothold and I use “snares” for locations and sign that call for a “snare”… * I have to call them cable restraints, not snares. warrior trapper Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 25,577 Georgia	Fluctuating water levels is difficult for any set. I have better luck backing up a trail or crossover and setting there to avoid to much water over a foothold or current knocking down snares.

Is the water expected to go down? Do you have more information about the location? What’s the current speed? What does the bank look like? How steep? What is the change in water going to be? 3” or 3’? Trails? Are you near the dam or lodge? Can you set near them? Have you named the beaver? Do you have pictures of the area? Muskeg trapper M Joined: Jun 2016 Posts: 467 Minnesota	Snare in today’s market. Any snare damage won’t matter on fur prices. I mainly use snares because of trap thieves. Lost too many 750’s and 330’s. Snare on a drowner works fine if you want them dead and out of sight
