Have had this back_pack for about 30 years.
It's been with me for 1000`s of miles calling coyotes, shed hunting, trapping, carrying tools for remote treestand hanging, bird hunting ect.
I've made it very clear to my family that when I die, they better not put me in a suit but thinking I want To go further and tell em I want this pack with me.
Is that wierd?
1/2 my life this pack has been with me and has been through terrible blizzard,rain/hail storms, extreme heat, mosquitoes, and about every thing ma nature has thrown at me..
Feels as good on my back as a favorite well broken in boot on my feet.
Still has the emergency fire starter kit I put together 20 years ago.
Just going down memories lane.

Weird? Might be to some people, but not me. I get it, and I bet most everybody else here does too!

It's not weird as long as they don't quarter you and stuff you in it.

Yep , old school .....love it

I see many a GQ hunter in the woods wearing the latest high dollar camo and gear , more power to them .

I prefer my old stuff , stained with awesome bloody memories

I have a Gregory Day & a Half pack I bought in the early eighties that's still going strong. Screw-in tree steps, traps, rattling antlers, neglected in the bed of my truck...can't seem to kill it.

I've got my surplus Alice pack that's been with me for 6 seasons now.

That's an awesome looking pack!

Be fun to remember all the stuff it's held over the years.

Mine is out in the garage in the bed of my truck, I think.

My son once told me they would bury a .22 with me, because I have too much fun with a .22.

I told him I liked that idea a lot. smile

Not weird at all.

My Dad will be buried with the .22 he gave to me. I have no desire to have children. I will not take the chance of it ending up in unworthy hands.

I will gladly feast on those who would subdue me.

I liberated my ditty bag from basic in '68, still use it for Deer Hunting. 54 years!

Had to throw away my old green trapping pail this year. It also had been over many miles of trapline, been in a lot of convention demos but like it's owner it got old and when I leaned on it to get up off my knees the old pail said "no more" and disinagrated!! Like losin' a good friend.
