We bought a new LG propane stove last year. It came from the factory set up for NG but also came with a kit to convert it to LP. I installed the kit and the stove works fine. No issues with the burners on top. The oven however smells very bad when it ignites. It actually smells quite a bit the entire time its on, but when you first turn it on its so bad it burns your eyes. My wife is ready to toss it out. Any ideas of what could be wrong and how to fix it??

you may have missed one of the orifices and it is still set for NG, which would be too large an opening...

Depending on the type orifice to change it from natural gas to propane sounds like you might screwed it down to far depending on type of valve or as said above still using the natural gas orifice. Screw it out a turn or two and see if the flame turns nice and blue instead of orange. Do you know the model number of the stove? Or the air shutter on the oven burner is closed.

If I remember right in the oven you have to adjust the air shutter to get the right amount of air to get a blue flame on the burner. There was a set screw that allowed you to turn the shutter.

If I remember right, besides the orifice's being changed to propane, I had to reset the regulator on the stove, It had two settings.

TrapDye is correct. Regulator and orifices are both matched together LP and NG, for the right pressure and gas flow.
