Anyone remember what Muskrat prices were back in the late 1970's , for comparison ?
Yep, I remember 7.25 straight thru. Nice job johnson, although I would think Michigan rats would do better. I always heard rats from there were some of the tops. Interesting to see what comes from up north this week.

I am sorry you did not do better on such a great great trapping year. Did you harvest other fur beside muskrats ? What kind of numbers ? It makes me tired thinking about the hard work you did this year but what a accomplishment! The war going on with Russia , Ukraine, inflation , interest going on did not do you any favors. I trapped for 50 years and raised mink for 10 years and it seemed like every year that I can remember something going on in the world 7-10 days before NAFA or FHA drove the market way down. I can count on 1 hand the years I did better than I had planned. Something always threw a wrench into the auction I had my Ranch Mink on or my small batch of fur I trapped. Sir I hope you got some good barn pictures or pictures of Big stacks of fur. Their is going to be a day we’re not going be able to enjoy trapping. You need to get some big pictures and frame them for each one of the grandkids. I mean I really nice frame and do it up right. They can brag on what grandpa did in the good old days. MD

Good job on the rat catch and the sale.
Anybody can reminisce and complain about past prices. But you got out there and smacked em while many others just whined about prices and how they aint worth skinning. Some folks live in misery...and like it.
Congrats on a successful sale!
