although I use 3Fg in pan and charge most of the time and it works fine.

Same for me Pete, 3Fg in the same horn for main charge and for priming works just fine.

I use 2F in my smoothie and prime from the horn. Works fine for me.

I've seen the videos... 4f is faster for igniting than 2f or 3f. But the amount of time that 4f beats them by is so insignificant that it is imperceptible to a human being. Just prime with whatever you shoot with.

Sorta depends on how you're using the rifle. For bench/match shooting, a lot of guys use 4F or NullB because it's faster. But in the woods, a separate container of priming powder is one more thing to carry.

Because I have more 4F powder than I'll ever need, I carry a little bit in a small brass priming flask that fits in my possibles bag, or I wear it around my neck on a string. That holds more than enough for a hunt and doesn't take up much room.
