I realize the Ukranians are fighting hard to defend their country from invasion and it's all hands on deck.

But, a strike by Ukrainian forces INSIDE Russia on a military target or supply line would send a message.

I think Putin would use it as an excuse to use either chemical or tactical nuclear weapons.

If you think the Ukes are even capable of such a strike without NATO help. We'll see how many Uke fighters come out of the Donbas encirclement in a week or two. Of course, you'll never hear of that Russian/DPR victory on the MSM.

Here's my prediction of how US/NATO fully enters the war (besides supplying the weapon systems and real time sat/commo intercept intel we're already doing). A "Russian" cruise missile, with or without chemical weapon warhead (chemical would be better) will hit somewhere in Poland and produce some casualties, preferably some civilian losses. Then team Sniffy minions and the Euros governments who want a hot war with Russia (mostly the Poles and the Brits so far) get their Article 5 moment and we'll will get to see if they can "manage" such a conflict before it goes off the rails. Stand by...

This isn't about "bloody noses".

There is plenty of blame to go around on all sides in regards to the present situation.

No typically you win if you hit first with extreme force and violence. But if you miss the boat and get hit its a good idea to defend yourself with the same.

A suicide mission that would help unite Russians against Ukraine and produce little military value, makes sense...

And if they wanted a fight because it would give them a reason to do XYZ ? Russia is already loosing alot of support on the home front it seems. A domestic strike seems like something that they would really really like

And they may very well pull themselves to gain support. It's been in the play book for centuries.
