For those who have Johnny Thorpe DVD's, what's your opinion on the quality of the DVD, as well as, the information and instructions offered.

Love them.He likes to keep things simple.Alot of information.

Yeah he’s quite the character.Every time he says trust me on this I think to myself should I really trust him on this.

I like them

I like them also. I own all of them including his tape. For eastern trapping they are top notch. The neat thing about Thorpe videos is you get alot of back ground history and stories of trapping that you will not find anywhere else. Alot of DVDs just show the set here you get a quite a bit more insight. He does a great job on cross functional trapping, otters also covers mink, cats cover fisher, fisher coon, coon covers some rat and beaver, the lure and gland videos cover history. His western video covers the area between Silver City and route 10 near Lordsburg. So you get three types of terrain as elevation changes from the flats up to the rocks. Very very entertaining. I would love to see the material that was left on the cutting floor. If you still have a tape machine the OG tapes cover extensive history, also among my favorites. Dobbins videos are exceptional. There are alot of Simon says videos out there, you keep buying you will see what I am talking about. Enjoy

I think his videos are junk! Everyone worships Thorpe, but not me.

Why the hate?I miss talking to my friend.

I .knew Thorpe .Our lines over lapped. I will not go into details about the dead,except to say he was not the hero everyone thinks he was.
