Bobcat results showed up this morning. All I had from last sale sold. Not great or terrible either way.

The zoo auction part is crazy; sure a lot of pent up buyers;
utility wolves are gonzo in prices

must be a lot of fishing lodges trying to replace their wall hangers after being shut down for so many years.

Wife did some business with the guy in winnipeg. Sent her a catalog. There are some eyepoppers there. A minimum 100% mark up after purchase and tanning. IMO

Yup the zoo is going crazy - wolverine and now black bear. Skunks will be nuts too, I’ve seen the current bidding.

Even the dressed fur is doing well on the beaver. Those pelts have been offered on several auctions without interest and now there is interest.

That is actually a bit low for industry standard at retail.Normally around 125%.

I had 22 beaver held over from last year. As of now nothing has sold.
A couple of them graded " 3X-2X SELECT HVY BRN".
A couple rats and coon as well not sold.

Ack, I only had 1 5X-4X A-B raccoon and 3 coyotes from last year on the auction. None sold.

The auction is still going on. In the misc items now. 9 pages to go and the auction will be done - finished - over with.

I have not heard if they are doing any private treaty or not, so there is a chance they will continue to update accounts over the next several days.

Prompt date is April 11, so things might not be completely settled until then.

I had leftover beavers as well and the lot numbers don’t match any of the current beaver kits so I’m assuming mine sold before the sale. Maybe yours did too?

I also had some with that grade that apparently didn't sell...

Did they sell even 1 lot of the mighty, gem in the fur shed, opossum...? C'mon man, some of those little beauties couldn't have escaped the gavel once again!

7 lots of possum were sold. Some at 10 cents each. Possum have a 25 cent per pelt handling fee.

Which shoots a really big hole in the statement that pelts are graded as NV and disposed of because those pelts won’t sell for enough to cover the handling fee.

Last time I checked 10 cents is less than 25 cents. SO a 10 cent possum is actually a 35 cent possum!!

Yeah, there's probably some logic in there somewhere.

I know the next time I put up a Dakota grinner, that product will be heading to ebay to be sold as is. Of course the real money in possums is selling those skulls of a big boar. Some people dig those semi-scimitar canines...

Right about now I believe Catt County Trappers Association Fur Auction at Hinsdale NY is a great place to sell. I think Fur Harvesters could do a lot better job updating their website during the auction and keeping trappers informed. It takes just a few minutes to make a statement and post something on a site this day and age. Transparency and updates go a long way. Maybe they could have someone up there start a post on trapperman.com during auction week.
