I could keep it in a 4 wire (3 hot) fenced pasture with the Cattle
Give the dog a King Treatment deluxe dog house .

However, I don't think I could afford vet bills and Feed for another Dog. And my Redbone Ruby, just likes messing with my cows minds.

But if you think turkey vultures have sharp beaks and can tear skin, you should spend a little time using the internet to learn instead of trolling. Again, you’re confusing Mexican vultures with turkey vultures.

Not being able to tear skin is the reason they go for the eyes. They are soft and easy to open and after it kills the calf and eats what it can a couple days of sunshine and coyotes will open the calf up where he can get to the rest. Anybody that thinks turkey buzzards won't peck the eyes out of a new born calf is soft in the head. I remember riding in my dad's milk truck in the 80s picking up milk from local dairies in a 200 mile radius around our town and seeing miles of turkey buzzards tied wingtip to wingtip on the fences around the dairies for just that reason. They wreaked havoc on dairy calves.

Let me quietly discuss what is the story behind the relationship between turkey vultures, black vultures, and whatever animal needs to be consumed.
Typically turkey vultures soar above in the thermals, constantly testing the air for stench, be it dead animal, or delicious aroma of the byproduct of a newborn calf. It then homes in on the stench and ascends to it to see if there are edible bits which it can get to with its relatively weak beaks.
While all of this is going on, the black vultures are paying close attention, and come to the picnic once the turkey vulture lands.
They do this because they have virtually no sense of smell (like most birds) and use the turkey vulture to find dinner.
The turkey vulture, which has a week beak, then allows the black vultures to tear open the carcass with their piranha-like beaks so everyone can eat.

This is not to say that a turkey vulture has never, in the history of cattle, poked at an eye of a newborn calf. It does happen, but almost exclusively to stillborn calves.

Maybeeee in Virginy but here the Dang Turkey vulture was the one lifting OFF our Whiteface calf and a bloody slash was right next to its eye. So here they are alone....no Black headed black vultures in MinneeeeSota

Yes. That is exactly why I carefully added the "It does happen", to my statement.
With wildlife it is unwise to ever say "always" or "never". I have dealt with all kinds of wildlife every day of the week for 30 something years and can tell you, with authority, that I find that I know less about them every day.

I hate killdeers also. Nothing ruins a nice evening fishing at a pond then a killdeer with a nest close or babies on the ground. Most annoying bird on the planet.

I wouldnt hesitate to excecute a vulture like that, and never bring it up to anyone, or any other bird of prey causing harm to my livestock or poultry. You could set a trap on a post if you thought no one would see....illegal doesnt actually mean wrong.

That Whitefaced calf last year healed up. And we sold it and 3 others for 2k. Paid for most of our winter hay.

This year we have 2 born out of 8

330 I move multiple nest a year when I’m planting corn so the planter doesn’t crush them. About June 30 when I get the rare occasion to go fishing I ask myself why. Lol

A turkey vulture can even pick a jackrabbit..
