My first impression was the same as you Scott but overall a beautiful mount. Alot of thought and work went into making that mount. Rick, maybe a display for a big store?

I've commented on very few mounts. However, I would opine that this is one of the best I've ever seen. It's beautifully done and it tells a story. Thanks for posting.

It would fit nicely in a diorama at the Museum of Natural history in NY city.
I think the wolf is gonna catch one.

Just a few of hundreds of specimens on display.

Very well done. One thing I like is how the legs are positioned in true range of motion. Starting at the spine , in shoulder and top of hips.

Some mounts look stiff legged to me, because they are only in action from the elbow down or the patella down, in the rear. This artist shows the real usage of the spine and connecting front and rear legs in full push off power.

The only thing....and it is miniscule, that I would wonder, is the mouth on the wuff.....in aggressive pursuit , and especially the closer they get to the target, the trend of behaviour is to pucker the lips forward in the dominant expression . The most submissive , or show of fear, is to have the lips stretched back into that "smile" . Dogs who are at attention or ready to bark also pucker the lips to where there's hardly any "smile"at all. Just wondering...very small detail.

The body language on the coyotes are spot on.

Nonetheless, this is among the best mounts in action I've seen. Placed out into the woods and photographed , it would look real.

Very well done project. Whew, the 2,000 plus rats I have caught the last 7-8 years would not pay for that mount I am guessing.
