Just wondering what a good Newhouse # 41/2 wolf trap would be worth?
A range would be nice with a perfect trap on one end, and a not so nice trap on the other.

It ll depends on which 412 you have theres different models of 412 at different values.

Pretty good difference depending on if Kenwood, Oneida or Animal Trap Lititz. And completeness/condition.

The OP is asking for a range of prices. So, $100.00 tp $500.00 should cover it.

I have seen 412s priced by collectors ranging from $100 to a @1000 dollars depending on condition and or rarity it all depends on what you have and the right person is willing to pay

There’s book value and then there’s what someone will pay that wants it bad enough.
On the open market very good condition ATC models have averaged around $300, OC’s with correct loose twist drag can go $300-$500. An early model with correct chain rig, square rebar, tight twist or 4 prong drag can push $1K or more. Book values are a bit less for each. Condition and correctness are everything and there are a lot of variables with the 4 1/2’s. They are one of the more interesting Newhouses to collect in my opinion.

100 may be high depending on what the other "not so nice" side looks like.
