Needed to get some glands started so I ground a couple gallons of coyote glands some I had some I bought that were sitting on the floor from a few days ago, that box started to grow just sitting there. LOL Finished those l had a half gallon of mice to grind then a gallon of skunk pods thank goodness the wind was blowing away from the neighbors at least.

I have a couple of gallons of pods in the freezer I have putting off grinding for a couple years now. I have been wanting to get them done but haven't forced myself to do it yet. I got them from another dealer, so I am concerned as to the condition they are in.

I believe he got them from a trapper that had them already aged down a bit. I turned that trapper fella down when he contacted me but ended up with them anyway. They will be a mess I suspect with hair and all. sick

No hair on these pods I trim them clean I put half of the grind in 2 different jars so they have the room to work over time, its amazing how slow they are to breakdown over time. Get some fatty ones it takes even longer then.

Typically, all the pods I cut and usually get from trappers are cleaned according to our standards. Others not prepared as well we won't accept. Those that don't work with glands much don't understand the problems hair can cause in aging and end product result.

Had my grind day a couple weeks ago.5 gallons of catfish scraps, some liver, castor, oil sacs, coyote glands and a 2 gallons of rat glands. Decided I'd get on the ball this year and get it done before the flies got too plentiful. Forget the skunk fat though.

I always grind when the wind blows to the neighbors, that way it's blowing away from our house laugh

Let me sugar coat this

I like 1/2 frozen pods for the grind that helps keep the stink down, but I’m a little desensitized to the odor after all of the years messing with skunks.
