My son has one and loves it! Came with 4 chokes, you should be able to pattern something with them.

Short story on my 835. I bought it 2 days before turkey season a long time ago. Everybody had one so had to. Shot it 2 times to pattern it. Cleaned it, Turkey season opened I shot it 3 more times over 3 days I had my 3 bird limit. I cleaned it and put that angry shoulder killing mule in the cabinet and have never touched it again. If you can routinely handle 3 1/2 inch loads in that thing I salute you.

Mine only came with the Ulti Full turkey choke. I'm probably going to order another one but I'm not sure what kind yet. unless it states not to , try it pattern it with that ulti full turkey, I have a turkey choke that puts buck on target at 50 yards from an 870 not every pellet but 3 within a couple inches of where I was aiming. I don't have an 835 I have a Carson BSC buck shot choke in my 500 it is an extended full choke ported it works well pattern a few of each round not every buck shot patterns the same even with the same choke if your looking for a probably safe bet on a choke for buck shot the Carlson's BSC has probably been tested in the 835 configuration with buck also I know Carlson's does a lot of pattern testing I shoot trap with the BSC also works like a full or little better with every type of shot I have tried. shot a 20 with it in a new barrel last week first round of trap with that gun I can say the misses were me and not the pattern it is a 20 inch barrel and that took a touch of getting used to. the BSC had been in my 28 inch 500 and shot pheasants with it

I never shoot anything but 2 3/4" basic turkey loads and kill them all stone dead. 3 1/2" turkey loads are a waste of lead shot, gun powder, and money !!! walleyed

I'm a little hesitant to shoot buckshot through a tight turkey choke for fear of damage to the barrel or choke. Although I have heard of others doing it. It doesn't look like Carlson makes the buckshot choke for the 835. They do make a coyote choke for it. Looks like I'm just gonna have to spend a little money and see what my gun likes.

I was looking at Carlson's last night after I posted and didn't see the 835 having a BSC but did see the predator choke.
I didn't get the BSC for my 870 because the extended full was very close to the BSC in pattern
everyone needs a full any way , I would try that you probably want a Mod also. the 835 chokes look longer than 500 chokes so you might get extended type results from a flush tube.
it also doesn't look like there is much offered other than the Carlson's and factory chokes for the 835
calsons has very good customer service you might also call them and see what they suggest.

I shot a Benelli in ideal conditions and it would not function. So don't blame the conditions. Once the spring in the stock was replace with a stronger spring it worked fine. I got the gun new and shot it a lot. It never worked right until the spring was replaced.
