All domestics other than the muscovy are mallard descendants. Even wild mallards will cross with others like blacks.

flock of white and Canadian goose crosses in McFarland Wi for years near the boat launch they would overnight in the first yard east of the 51 bridge over the Yahara
may still be there I don't get over that way as much any more.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

This is a hybrid that has been seen for several years around here. Before this picture was taken, I saw this white one leading the flock in flight over the lake.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Those domestic crosses don't count against your limit since they are not officially migratory and are considered feral.

I'd be very careful about that and check with your local F&G Agent.

If you read the regulations of unprotected birds these types fall in the regulations.Shoot them all. There are about 30 duck and swan species that fall into this zone.
Read the regs yesterday when the debate was over non-protected birds, ie English sparrow, starling and Icterid blackbirds and grackles and cowbirds all un-protected
listed in the regs of;Birds Protected by the migratory Bird Treaty Act (revision in 2015 I think)

A friend of a friend owned a lake and a bunch of ponds, that people paid membership to fish and camp at, called the Duck Pond. It was full of mallard crosses, most looked like smaller blue Swedish, black Swedish or khaki campbells. We had permission to fish, trap muskrats and coon, morel hunt and catch ducks there. They had so many ducks, that the ducks were making a mess on the shore and over fertilizing the water. Catching ducks was great fun. I grabbed sitting hen ducks off the nest and incubated the eggs. We would herd ducks into the basement of the boat house, that a spring flowed out of into the big lake and grab as many as we could carry, while we took turns blocking the open doorway. I would grab sleeping ducks at night. During the June molt, we would chase ducks down and grab them. I really enjoyed going there. Unfortunately they sold it.

A drake mallard will screw anything he can hold down long enough.

That might be true on a federal level but states also have their own laws governing what and how much can be taken, and their the ones most likely to come arrest you if you take more or what your not allowed under state law and then trying to argue it’s not against federal law is not going to do you a bit of good
