Is .gov handing out some secret check that I know nothing about? It seems that nobody can find any help these days. Especially decent help. We are so shorthanded at my work that it's laughable. And nobody is applying. How do people survive without working?

People are getting $300.00 a month for children under age 6 and $250.00 per month per child up to 17. When you consider that the average immigrant family in the US has 6.7 children and that minority families only have slightly less on average, you can see why people no longer need to work. The average immigrant family receives arround $1842.50 in money just for children, monthly.

I heard about that but I thought they were getting back less on their taxes now because of it.

There's a fair amount of mental illness in the mix too.

And the news is reporting the lowest unemployment rate since 1981. It's because people aren't looking for work. I suspect they are waiting for government handouts.
There are help wanted signs all over businesses where I live. Some places are offering cash bonuses if a new employee stays on the job for 6 months.

Every place around here,had a help wanted sign--before the pandemic. So nothing has really changed concerning finding help.

Most people getting the Child Tax Credit pay no taxes at all. If they got the money just during the normal refund season, most people would quickly spend it and then have to work to have money. In monthly payments, they waste less of the money on non essentials and then don't have to work.

Many young men younger than 30 years old, still living at home with mom and dad, and the parents still supporting them. Why work.

we have companies paying good money to work there with sign on bonuses etc etc. its been like that for a year or so! if someone doesnt have a job its because they dont want one! My brother works water/sewer and the company he works for is swamped and wants to expand but they cant even fill the crews they have now, and they start out making $35 ish an hour for unskilled workers

Don’t know about secret checks, but just filed our taxes last week and already got State back. And took that child tax credit out of the bank every month and put it in its own fund. And still getting a little over 15K back total in taxes.

Its a full time job scamming the gov't.
When you have 5 or 6 fake identities,each collecting the monthly gravy it is tough to juggle all that.
