Most are between 250-300 thousand. Give or take 10 thousand. The majority of that is in stock, not cash

His offer is 50% over value if what I heard is correct, doubt that was by accident and for future litigation if denied.

His offer is about 38% over the consensus value.

Musk has said it isn't about the money but I doubt he got rich by being irresponsible with his money.


The "globalists" don't need to bail out Twitter. The Twitter board can do that on its own. If they fail then expect the DOJ to get even more involved.

It has to be ideological on Musk's part because it makes no sense to me from a business standpoint.

I think Wall Street doesn't think so either. If Wall St. thought he would be successful, the the stock would be trading at his offer price or just slightly below. It is far below that currently, implying no confidence that the sale will happen

They were saying g another option for him was to get some of his business partners to buy with him. Guess he has some pretty wealthy people on the boards of his companies.

Twitter will not be sold to anyone who will allow conservative views expressed on there and certainly not to anyone who criticizes biden/harris. Control of the narrative is more important to those currently in charge than anything else.

These folks come right out and say that they need to moderate opinions = liberal opinions welcome/conservative opinions = go sit in the corner and shut up your canceled which is what they did to a sitting potus.

He could finance it several ways.

He could form a group with others. But I can't think of too many others with enough money AND the libertarian ideology of Musk.

He could borrow money from Morgan Stanley and use shares of SpaceX as collateral. He could do the same by using shares of Tesla as collateral although the Tesla board has limited his ability to do that.

I don't think they were worried about the financing, more along the lines of beating the 15% poison pill.

But the poison pill reads .......any individual or ENTITY. I suppose anything can be tried but these guys are smart enough to not throw away money on this thing.

I still think it would be cheaper to start his own from scratch. After all, Musk has 80+ million followers on Twitter. He could take a lot of them with him.

The one subtle thing that the poison pill does is it prevents Musk from mounting a tender offer.....that is........going over the heads of the Board and offering to buy shares directly from individual shareholders.
The PP prevents that and it gives the board more time to make a decision OR......find a white knight. The PP expires a year from now.

The financing piece is where Musk got busted by the SEC when he tweeted about taking TSLA private and claiming he had the financing when in fact he didn't

Twitter’s board responded on Friday by saying they would set up a plan to block Musk’s attempts.

Musk criticized the social media site last month for what he perceived as a failure to abide by free speech principles.

"Given that Twitter serves as the de facto public town square, failing to adhere to free speech principles fundamentally undermines democracy," Musk, who has a whopping 82.2 a million followers, tweeted on March 26. "What should be done?"

To answer musk's question=they will not allow anything to be done about that.

If this happens it would be the biggest slap in the face of capitalism I can remember, for the a presidential administration to stop the sale of a publicly traded company to a private individual, especially when integration isn’t an issue.

This administration does a pretty good job of slapping us all in the face - DAILY.
