Died this morning of lung cancer at age 70. Almost 20 year career...all through the 70's with the Canadiens.

Last year he raised 2 million for hospitals all through this.
When you grew up in a French community there was nobody else the girls would worship.....
Did see a lot of Habs jerseys today with a arm band in memory.

My son played against him in an old timers exhibition game (5 minutes between periods)when he was 5 years old in 2004. My son had a breakaway and Guy tripped him before he got a shot. 15000 fans had a good laugh. Tripped him twice more when they were leaving the ice. After the game he signed my sons jersey and gave him his signed hockey stick. Heck of a hockey player and great person

Great player to watch. Unlike many of our super hero first season guys we read about now. Guy started slowly and continued to grow and gain experience. Several years in a row of over 100 points.

Great player-could skate like the wind and stickhandle and deke with the best.RIP.
His style reminded me of Bobby Orr,grab the puck in his own end,skate thru the other team and put the puck in the net.Exciting player to watch.
