You guys here in the USA are really missing out on some good eats if you haven't met any Russians or Ukrainians.
I suggest you find a small (under a thousand) Slavic church in your area and visit, especially during a holiday, birthday, wedding, funeral, or any one of the many other numerous excuses they find for a celebration. It doesn't really matter whether it's an Orthodox, Baptist, or Pentacostal church. You'll be in for a treat.

Is "Christmas Resurrection" a term you use for Easter?

There is a tradition in Russia. on this day, children go in small groups of 3-7 people to houses and say to the owners of the house Christ is Risen, and the owners answer them, "Truly Risen. and treat the children with an Easter egg and candy. last year, 63 children came to our house.

That sounds like a wonderful tradition.

About six years ago I was driving up the road on Easter morning. There laying in the middle of the road was a bible. I stopped and picked it up, it was in Cyrillic script (Russian).
I knew that some Russians lived three houses up from me. I picked up the bible and drove to the house, the son came out of the house and I explained what I had found, he called the old man out of the house, he was delighted to see that I had found his bible.
He didn't and still doesn't speak much English, but he did manage to say in English; "He is risen", I replied "He is risen indeed". That made his day, we have been good friends ever since.
This was truly a Divine appointment.

That is a great tradition Kosoi, one I wish we had here.

I study with Paul from St. Petersburg. He and I have sat up many a night, until way too late, him telling me all about Russia... your country, your people, and your traditions.
He has become a wonderful friend, as many of us do during our time here, as we experience what united in Christ lives like, and he and I will keep in contact I'm certain for the rest of our lives.
Praise God.
