Whatever that pile of bones and fur is, MN may now not have any of them wink

Could be a squirrel from those pictures

Those pics are the only ones there are. The angle on the skull could be better for sure. She was wondering what it was and I am not sure. I was thinking a dog because the skull looks to have a larger orbit than a coon and the fur does not look right to me. I believe that her husband made it go away at her insistence.

Lions dont drag stuff up into trees. They kick dirt leaves sticks etc over a carcass like bobcats do

Owl or Eagle put it up there. They were feeding on it higher in the tree and it fell and couldn't be retrieved. IMO

It's a mammal. That's as much as I can tell. No size reference, cant see the teeth, terrible angle on the skull and slightly blurry.

I'd hazard a guess, with some certainty, to venture it's a dead one?

The dental information should make a positive confirmation. There are places and persons that can easily resolve what that species is.

From what I can see of the skull and teeth it is some sort of canine.

UPDATE

The two pics are of two different things. (didn't know this before) I just talked to my co-worker today in person and the critters went into the fire pit.

I doubt we will ever know for sure now.

Looking at the fur, I'm thinking Grey Fox
