I was out cutting brush over the weekend and looked up to this. He just laid there and didn’t move even with a chainsaw running 5 feet away. It took a lot of mice to grow that big.
Looks like he needs another year;-)

Dang! Snakes in trees is not something we have here in ND. What kind of snake is that? Is it venomous?
"Pretty cocky for a starving pilgrim!" "An elk don't know how many legs a horse has!"

Black snake. Nonvenemous. They eat mice and stuff.
Lots of bird eggs and chicken eggs too.
Personally id rather have a mouse in the house instead of I snake.
IF IDIOTS GREW ON TREES THIS PLACE WOULD BE AN ORCHARD !

black King snake? https://inherpatlas.org/species/lampropeltis_getula#:~:text=The%20Black%20Kingsnake%20is%20a%20State%20Imperiled%20species%20in%20Ohio.&text=Black%20Kingsnakes%20are%20found%20throughout,Indiana%20along%20the%20Wabash%20River. or Grey Rat snake https://inherpatlas.org/species/pantherophis_spiloidesgiven the larger size Grey Rat snake seems more likely
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

He got a free pass today. I might be sorry because there are quail eggs on the way. It was probably 7 feet.
Looks like he needs another year;-)

Rat Snake, Grey by location
Protected in Georgia as are all nonvenomous species. They're protected in MO as well till they start eating your chickens, I lost a few last year till I caught one(a black snake) with one in his mouth. He was only about 4-5 ft. Long.

Why? Not a snake lover, but black snakes keep the rat population in check.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

There’s lots of critters to be more scared of than a black rat snake…….. Hummingbirds, baby rabbits, etc. Lock me in the outhouse with a grizzly bear any day but keep the snakes away from me!
I have nothing clever to put here.

Scott. It actually did spit it out but I didnt eat it.lol That often happens if a snake is interupted while swallowing as they are particularly vulnerable while doing so. If threatened they'll unload in preparation to flee or fight.
