I got a bobcat, who has killed two chickens, a duck, a goose and two turkeys. The last attack happened on Easter Sunday. I secured the pens better after it got in the Turkey pen and killed them. How would I go about catching this bobcat. I got video proof it is a bobcat. I also have a signed permission slip from the game warden in my county here in Ohio to take it out, alive or dead. So what is the best sets to use. I put one Turkey in a cubbie set and it hasn’t touched it. I also set a trap where it went in the pen at and nothing yet. It was coming in about every three nights. What’s the best bait and lure, sets etc. give me some ideas, I want this killer gone.

Do you still have live birds in the pen? You say you've got a trap bedded where it entered the pen.....be patient.

Yes I do. I got a duck and a goose in the pen. I even left the hole in the wire so it could get back in.

Put a live bird in a live trap or cage and set another live trap in front of it. Block it in.

Probably not hungry yet after collecting all that feed.
He will come back after he depletes his stash.

How big of a live trap do I need. I just have one for raccoons. I’m really not wanting to let them take it alive and release it. It would just be putting the problem on somebody else.

Still got the feathers in its mouth. It worked for about a hour killing both turkeys. These were very large domestic turkeys. The saddest part was explaining it to my boy. He raised them up from chicks.

Put a trail camera out there that will send an alert to your cell phone with each picture. When the alert comes in with the cat's picture, slip out there and give him a turkey load of #4s.

Nothing has came up missing in a week. Well except the bucket of eggs that the crows ate. I would give anything to have the ol timers back that kept all these predators in check.

Bobcats are not hard to trap. If you have bobcats and you know where they are headed all you have to do is set. Cubbies work but I think walk thrus work even better for me. You can do this.

It showed up this morning about 150 yards behind my house on a ridge top. Should I be setting on the old logging roads in the hollows and ridge tops.

You may want to try setting a trap about 150 yards behind your house on a ridge top.
