ANd...he was deceased. The person who asked me to check in on him thought that he might have Covid. He was a Vietnam vet and a guy I've known since 1985. President of the local gun club and an all round decent guy. He had probably been dead for a couple of days.

That’s a tough one…haven’t done that yet.

Exactly right. Thanks for those words. He had no immediate family and I recall him saying that he hoped that when he went it would be right there in his little house, no rest home. Got his wish.

Hope I can go the same way. Couple years ago a neighbor did a check on a guy who lived on his own. No one had seen him for quite some time. Guy had passed........over a year before!

Death.
A person dying alone.

Are two events that were never meant to be.

Perhaps he is in a restful place now.
Our prayers as believers is that all would find that comfort when they die.

I'm glad you found him, I hope it doesn't negatively affect you. My Mom found my brother and he had been dead for about a week, not good, no Mother should have to do that.
