I have a few scratching trees on my trap line. This one has been used for many years. I haven't had a camera at this tree now for 2 years as my last one was stolen! I'm heading back out there today to adjust my camera, didn't allow for the taller guys!

Cool video....I need a tree like that myself. lol

Is it just me, or do all bears look bored half to death? Seems they all just mope around like they lost their best friend or something.

He may have been the thief that took your last camera. I think I would put it up higher.

Mid April and rubbed bad. Coastal bears hardly go to hibernate. Or they got bad itchy cooties.

Very cool. I like the way he just sits there for a minute like he's thinking about something.

These bears can be a real pain. The area where the scratching tree is can't be trapped till after xmas due to a Nov run of coho in a nearby stream. Those grizzlies stay up well into winter. Here's another video of the same tree but a couple of years ago.

Thanks for posting. That is the kind of stuff an Indiana boy never gets to see. Do the grizzlies and black bear get along with each other sometimes?

Looks like he needs another year;-)

Definitely real, I'm hiking back in there later today to adjust my camera. Here's another video of the same tree 6 years ago
