I'm getting ready to sell some older wire muskrat stretcher but don't know the brand.
Thanks for the help.

Thank you. I've used them for years and don't mind them, just trying to standardize my equipment.

Found a couple of them in the basement of a house we purchased. They were either good stretchers or the only thing around. lol

For me I like them as the arms stay down better without sliding back up on you.

seen where guys use them as stabilizers for their dry land 220 sets

does not take much to put a wooden block with pluming strapping holding it together in the end for pinning the hide down

couple of stokes of a file roughs the edge for the arms to catch

I had about a dozen of them as they where about the only thing available for me at the time. Once others became available to me I quickly replaced them and used them for my 220 stands.

They are Newhouse. I ordered some from Sears 60 years ago. Snug sides down with clothes pins and do not pull hooks down much. Won top lot awards.

I'm with fossil2, the top stretcher is a Newhouse.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Thank you everyone.

From the input:

First stretcher is a Newhouse.

[Linked Image]

I believe the second to be a difrent style Newhouse or possibly a Blake and Lamb.
