I use 3- 2x12's cut 4', 3' 2' and screw together. It gives you 4.5", enough for me to change oil.

My ramps are all metal, don't use them much anymore. I wouldn't trust those either just by looking at them. Looks to be made out of some strange material. Do know what it is?

I don't really trust the metal ones. Always used with some heavy jack stands.

Just a suggestion but, With that open bottom design, I think you are losing a lot of structural support if they are not set on a hard surface like a cement garage floor.

I have 2 sets of beefy steel ramps. Plus 10 quality jack stands. Also a nice collection of large wood blocks for jacking up cars. It is your life you are entrusting to your safety equipment.

Never ever use cinder blocks. They are deathtraps.

Pro tip - slide a tire/wheel under the vehicle as a backup.

when I use them I make sure to put them on a board , they only work when on a good flat surface and then pushing the limits is very questionable

hard to find any other ramps any more the should almost be mounted to doubled up 3/4 plywood with blocks around them so they can't bend out

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Those cast chinesium ramps are OK ish on a flat concrete floor when you but a small rice burner on them. Out on the gravel with a full size truck, I would need quite a few beers and shots to build up the confidence to get under it.

Let's go Brandon

They are definitely not safe on gravel, that should go without saying.

They worked ok for awhile , never fully trusted them but even without them the trucks had safe clearance .

When the wheels or axles are coming off I use large blocks 8x8's and 10x10's , I don't even trust jack stands
