There is a fur Buyer is Ryan , Iowa. Be quicker to run them over to the County right next door to you than to store and then ship them to Growenwold Fur None I ever heard of, unless small, u mean Rowley

You decide how to freeze the castor. You’re getting lots of opinions. Up to you.
Not sure why I bother giving advice. I’ve only been in the fur business for 48 years. I don’t know much at all!!!
Good Luck. Not meaning to be contrary. I read your post quickly and thought you were referring to shipping in paper or cardboard. But having reread it, you were talking about the freezer also. First I ever heard that from anyone. I have always used plastic in the freezer for dried castor. Take out, spread it out to thaw and let the condensation dry a couple days before I put them in a cardboard box and take to Mr. Paul to sell. This has never been a problem for me. I would be interested in hearing the reason for not using plastic in the freezer.

Can't be done so it worth it, found out hard way today, box up, very hard find box an to expensive, had ship bag with beaver an small cut down box with castor, very neat bag an ziptie shut, guy ups exgerate measurement by inches an measure past the zipties off to furthest point on handle bag an 4 inches exgerate width an height add 2 inches , they don't like not box stuff, $56 an change, I say forget it, grab an walk out, went FedEx , they at least try an wernt pricks like ups, the guy freak on bag an call mgr who recognize yrs ago, want $49 an change an want more an say could buy box additional fee, I say not worth it an left , got big freezer run an go keep there fall till need room, when do bugs quit in fall ? Would they do ok in ship bag in cool to, from mid oct until mid Jan in ship bag ?not sure bugs quit? I quit ship years back nafa, in bags an take there as couldn't deal ups nomore , is FHA agent about 90 mile round trip, but don't FHA have handling fee an no sale till March ? Was think FHA agent might not even want nomore If your pelts are well handled take them to the FHA drop off. That is where you will get the best price for nicely handled prime beaver. You could ship your castor too,if no one is buying close to you.price of well handled castor was real good last auction. Its only 90 miles round trip?I drive that far a couple times a week for a Timmies coffee, lol.

Ya I thought it ok to freeze castor in thick plastic bag air tight protect freezer burn, I believe I did for 11 months, as try rember , ship, no not plastic, I keep beaver in shop bag tie shut with some newspaper , few sheets cover top an bottom pelts, stack leather to leather or fur to fur, freezer @-10 an about put in, big freezer, commercial size, about 16 years old, not use tons electricity, no not beaver, able ship an cone out ahead, I not sure if get 30 in bag an tie shut, maybe stitch straight across top, u have problem get them accept something weighs like that bag, maybe for $125 or even $150

I think the world left you behind Dave in 1982. You would have earned more money (if that's your goal) working during the time you typed this, than you will ever make on beavs. Dividing 0 by 0 is 0.
But you may have invented another new math.

Drive over to Rick Hemseth and either sell to him or he will throw them in a bag and they will end up at FHA Or throw the darn things in your freezer until next fall . It ain’t complicated and it’s not like you have a hundred beaver.

I just shipped 5 blanket beaver in one box rolled up. Weight was 18 lbs. Shipped from Southern MN to Sleepy creek tannery in Iowa.. Spee dee delivery $11.00 They won't come to my addy because stupid road close sign const Would it be impossible for you to find a business or place in or near your town that Spee-Dee Delivery picks up at? I'd think you would be able to use them as your shipping agent.
