The Feds can't overrule a states decision on abortion. That's my uneducated opinion of it.

The feds overstep their constitutional authority all the time. Constitution says "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." Unless the Constitution specifically gives Congress a power, they can't pass any laws about something.

But...gun control, education, environment, drugs, etc. They have huge agencies to manage things that they have no authority to mess with. They have abandoned states rights and they will do the same here. If it's no longer constitutionally protected, there will be a push to protect it by legislation at the federal level.

This issue will also bring out the left to vote in droves. If that results in big majorities in congress, they will pass whatever they want.

Good article on how the federal government justifies firearm regs, enviromental issues, and drugs. Anything that is a part of interstate commerce, legal or illegal, the federal government claims jurisdiction.



And this is how Roe V Wade will be overturned. Giving abortion law back to each state.

It will end up being a States Rights issue. Some States will allow it, others will be restrictive.

This is a last ditch effort by Dems to freak out their base in order to get them to vote. They know a slaughter is coming this fall.

Is this really a States rights ruling, not an abortion ruling?

If it prevents a lot of abortions, I really don't care.

But it is a states rights issue. The libs will hide behind the terms "women's health" and "back alley abortions" and the like. Many doctors will simply perform a D&C and call it a procedure to see what could be wrong with a woman's uterus.

If this draft is true, it will stop thousands of abortions, but much like a mouse and a trap, that game will begin.

All to rally people to one political side or the other so they can get donations for their campaign to fight the evil left or right.

I despise politicians more and more each day. There are a few decent ones. Not many.
