Gillette Fusion. I've often gotten 30 shaves or more out of one.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Redoing our bathroom, and when we pulled the mirror down, there's a hole for an old medicine cabinet. There's a bazillion old rusty double edge razor blades down inside the wall. Medicine cabinets used to have a slot where you could put your razors into, and they'd just fall inside the wall for safe disposal. The idea was that it would take forever for the wall to actually fill up with razors, and by then it's someone else's problem. Since I found it, I've been using the double edge razors that Walmart sells (van der hagen brand), and dumping them in the hole. I gotta add my own to the collection of course.

Straights or double/single edge blades is the way to go! Forget cartridges.

I dunno Nessie, that looks like a good way to roll an edge and splay open a palm.

Guss,
Look up a shavings online source.
There are lots of different brands.
Many come in a sample package to try many different brands at a low cost.
Some example brands are:
Personna
Astra
Wilkinson
Shark
Gillette
Derby
Merkur
Feather
Have fun trying out the different brands...

I used to use my wife's pink razors, she'd get mad that I made them dull. Haven't used one for 5 or 6 years now, just clippers.

While we are talking razors I saw a guy who was made to dry shave in front of the company in the Army. This young guy had a lot of pimples on his face so he bled. This was 1964. Now the Army does not allow such punishment.

I was in basic training in 1965, up to that point I thought I only grew peach fuzz so one day I skipped shaving, the Drill Sargent noticed and made me dry shave, that ended me skipping a day of shaving.
