I dunno. I stopped looking at the price of food, I just put it in the cart and swipe the card. We gotta eat no matter what, no sense looking at the price and getting myself all worked up over it.
I bought chickens this spring though. Built an 8’x8’x8’ coop with a 15’x15’ run out of scrap lumber, only cost me my time so hopefully they’ll pay for themselves before the end of the year.

i have trouble selling eggs at 2 bucks a dozen. Mine are a mix of brown, chocolate, white, tan, green and blue. Some people wouldn't eat em cause i have a rooster in there and they are fertile. Whatever, more for me to eat.

I use egglands best, the price seems similar to farm eggs. I think the real inexpensive eggs are way off on nutrients compared to farm/better eggs.

I just buy feed for my egg producers. Its probably more expensive than buying eggs but way more fun having the girls running around the place.

Wow they have gotten high. I just sent 16 dozen to church to give away.
