Old user traps make up most of my line.

A guy could have a lot worse hobbies!
It would be seriously cool if those old traps could tell you where they've been.

I need to find some of the stop loss replacement springs like the ones on the top trap myself.

Nice work, are the guards hard to install?

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

I believe my parts came from sleepy creek, I have extra that I use to repair when needed. Not sure if anyone is still making them.

Sterling has one picture of a spring but you must choose from 3 different numbers to order the spring and pin. Can someone identify the correct number for the wire dog trap in the original post? The Choices on Sterlings Trap parts page are 1VG, 1VGS or 1 1/2VG. It pretty much has to be the 1VG or 1VGS but which one?

That trap brings back some memories. I had a few back in my teens when I would have every trap I had set out i. The marsh. I had to carry a board with me to set those guard traps because I couldn't do it unless I compressed the spring with my foot. They sure did hang on to those rats in the shallow marsh or inside a hut.
