2009 Ford F-150
I always come to trapperman when I am stumped on a problem. Something to do with the Air Conditioning is bad in the dash of my truck. I don't know if it is the wiring harness or the little sensor that it plugs into. I have looked up the replacement parts(harness) and it's very cheap. I'm including the pictures just to see if anyone has replaced this in the past. I know this is the problem because I used to just jiggle the wire and the AC/Heat worked. Yesterday it was working but When I touched the wire it was fire hot, so I unplugged it. Has anyone ever had this problem? I think I just need to purchase a new harness, but I dont know if it is the thing the harness plugs into that is the problem.

I can't find a youtube video dealing with the wiring. If anyone can point me in that direction that would be great, too.

Yep, that's what we do. Clean the male prongs good too.

Is that one wire supposed to be so small that is going into the connector? I bought the truck used and can't tell if anyone fuddled with it.

I'm going to get a new blower motor resistor kit and just replace it all. Should I replace that whole small wire with a thicker wire?

No, it's fine.

The bad connection is what causes the heat.
