Very cool! I love seeing the little animals in the spring!

Thanks for that she's been good to us,lots of milk and lots of nice calves, unfortunately this will have to be her last calf , she has a bad back knee probably arthritis we were praying she could get up on her feet with a load on, she's a true trooper,(we were very worried about her she really struggled a few times) 3 years ago she gave us a replacement heifer, half Angus that's the only heifer we got out of her, our heifer had a nice calf last spring and is due around may 6 this year.

Ness,
That's cool to hear about family run dairies, we have one here not far away it been around for three generations, love to bs with the ole boy about the blood lines in there pedigree, if I'm not mistaking some of them are from NH.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

One of my first jobs as a teen was working on a dairy farm. As low man on the totem pole I got to do all the jobs the other guys didn’t want. I got to unthaw the frozen automatic watering system with a pressure tank full of hot water. I got to clean up all the milking parlor equipment twice a day after milking was done.

I don’t remember that job all that fondly. LOL

One of the few perks was an endless supply of raw milk. I do miss that.

Eh...wot?
