I like rain because it helps mushrooms grow. How about everyone else?

We're not getting flooded or anything, but could use a break to get crops in the ground. On the other hand, should probably be thankful for all we get as I think it is going to turn dry again this year.

Rain is a way of life here. We make the Pacific Northwest go "Dude !!!".

Forecast is for 3" in the next 36 hours or so. Just got 2" First of the week. Our water comes from a spring...........so I guess there's ONE silver lining to all the gray clouds.

I like it because it helps my wheat not die but we are getting no help. Worst wheat I’ve seen in my 47 years.

We have got maybe 3 inches this week. And was needing it.

We are still below normal since last October but have had several small but very cold showers the last month. It is time for things to dry a bit so we can till and plant. We are about two weeks later than normal, but then two nights ago we had 27 degrees so soils are not warmed up much. We had an open winter which is typically not good for alfalfa and winter wheat but most fields look very good. More farmers mixing some grasses, mostly Italian rye grass and meadow fescue into the haystands and we get better yields, less winter injury, less heaving in the clay and longer stand life.
I did the same practices on my two strawberry beds and two different results. The on near home with the younger plants has a lot of damage, the one closer to the lake and two year older looks great. ????

Been raining about 10 hrs and got ove an 1" already and got 35-40 more hours to go. Already this morning had flood warnings out till Sunday morning!!

DUDE -- we don't even call it rain until it reaches about an inch an hour. That being said we are getting a shower or 2 here also -- willamette river supposed to reach 17 ft shortly -- enough that I had to help the neighbor pull his pump meter base yesterday and 40-50 acres of spring wheat is not going to make it. I am getting a little tired of the weather as it has been slowing down my ability to work a little.
