Anybody going? I won't be out this year, just don't feel like fighting the crowds at the landings and I have other plans for Sunday. So share some pictures and I can live vicariously through you lol.

Do't really start until the week before Memorial Day anymore. Mostly catch and release for me.

Living on the Miss. I really don't have to worry about the openers. Besides, I knocked down 2 big Maples in the backyard and will be spending the weekend clearing all that out.

Good luck to all that go out!

Going for walleyes at midnight. Leaving the boat at home as I will be fishing below a dam as the spawn was late this spring.

Easy fishing this morning. Soft bite but hungry male walleyes in 3 feet of water in rocks. Water temp was 47.

Had to work at it but brought 3 walleyes home. 2 at 19" and 1 at 17".
May sneak out early tomorrow before multiple mothers day celebrations take place.

Way to go Corky & Chris! I'm planting apple trees and stacking wood.
Might have to thaw some of last fall's for supper.

I think I've made 35 straight. Today was no different. I have 4 relatives that I go every opening day with. It's as traditional as the gun deer opener for my family. We don't ask if each other is going, but rather what time to meet smile

I'm talking pond trout fishing. It was fantastic. Fun to see the youngsters get involved too.

I was the 1st 1 to the pond smile

It's amazing how quickly some of the ponds can change. 1 day they are easy to fish and sometimes ya go back a week later & the ~algae makes it hard to fish

So true but I've noticed ponds that get like that produce good fish, since every Tom,Dick and Harry won't put the effort in to fish it.
