Doesn't do it justice. Broke down and bought a work sharp. In a few minutes I had a pocket knife that I have never been able to put an edge on scary sharp. I am also amazed at how well it holds the edge.

Is it easy to use? I have never been able to put an edge on anything and need to look into something that will work.

"Work sharp" is a good system. Read instructions and watch video first. You will be pleased.

Really read the instructions and then read them again. While they can get a blade scary sharp; they can also take the tip off your blade in a blink of an eye.

I agree with Danny. Use a practice blade at first.

I have the Ken onion with the blade grinder attachment https://www.worksharptools.com/shop...e-grinding-attachment-ken-onion-edition/

I really like it and yes scary sharp , the blade grinder attachment even lets me finish some small knife projects starting with blanks

the only time I take the knife grinder attachment off is to put the main head on without the guards to use as a little portable belt sander for sharpening my hoes for the garden clamp the work

want to sharpen you Machete no problem with big knives and machetes

watch the many videos there are techniques for getting the point back on a knife

understanding how your pulling the bur over the edge and and working it back and forth

a good light and reading glasses if you need them help you see the bur

Keep your blade moving, especially as you near the tip. Real easy to burn the tip on a pocket knife.

Love my work sharp. Be careful though, as others have said if you don’t keep that blade moving it can eat it up in a hurry

I have a couple models, and love them.
I have no problem putting a shaving edge on my knives with stones but I don't always have the time.
After sharpening with the work sharp, a couple strokes with a steel keep things hair popping for months.

There are a lot of detractors of work sharp, but for me, It's the ticket.

I got the Ken Onion as well. For me I took the advice of many others and watched the instructional videos a couple time. I then used the instructions that came with it. I did what it told me to do and in less than 10 minutes I had a razor sharp pocket knife. I can see how important it is to keep the blade moving especially with the courser belts.
