Who drives a diesel truck as a daily driver? My daily driver is a mini van with the rear seats removed for more room. I recently bought a Ford Excursion diesel for hunting (more room) but I also have a 1999 F250 7.3 diesel that I intended on selling after the purchase of the Excursion. I am waffling on selling the F250 now. I’m thinking of still driving the F250 for a daily driver. It has been a good truck but I’m concerned sooner or later it’s going to start needing repairs $$$ ? I’ve owned it for 6 years!

Currently looking to buy a diesel truck. And it will be my work truck and daily driver. Once I am done with the engine it will get better than 20 mpg and that will still save me money as opposed to my gas truck I am driving now. Even at the current price level.
Let's go Brandon

I have a 2012 F-250 diesel that I drive everyday, 220K miles currently. Looked to buy a new one and although the price tag was high that wasn't my deciding factor. I have my dog with me everyday, goes to work with me and to cabin on weekends. I won't have it any other way and the new ones are just too nice for how hard I am on them and with a dog. Will drive it another 100k.

I drive a 22 Chevy LTZ powered by a 3.0l diesel. I love it. I get 50% more miles on a tank than the gasser I had(19 chevy with the 5.3). Even with more expensive fuel it’s better than the gas I had. Plus my rear window hasn’t leaked yet. That part already lasted twice as long as the gas one 😉

In fall and winter, I drive a '96 Dodge 3500 12 valve. Spring and summer I switch to a '02 VW Jetta tdi for daily use. The way fuel prices are I might have to long line coon again just to use the fat for fuel.
Rotating vehicles works well for me because after 6 months of use they need parked and worked on again.

If you sell the 7.3 it will be gone in a heartbeat.
I drive a 2019 F-350 with the 6.7 that we bought new so know the history. It is my daily driver but I am retired and have my own business. I only do whatever I want.

I've looked hard at the little Colorado with the 2.8L duramax in it. I think that would be the perfect daily driver/hunting truck. Some guys getting 30mpg with tuning
Gotta live up to the nickname...
