Today is day 21.

I set 16 eggs in the incubator and today is day 21.

Are there any things i should be watching for?

I've got the brooder is set up and ready to go.

She had 96 quail eggs start hatching last night!

Don't let them get any tattoo's.

And watch for crackin' eggs

We live in a subdivision on the outskirts of town and our new neighbors put up a chicken coop that has grown to the size of a three car garage. The smell is horrible!

Good thing ya ain't my.neighbor. LOL

Yeah. You wouldn't last a day in my neck of the woods. I can tell that by your posts.

They will peep a lot before hatching resist helping them out of the egg it often hurts them more then helps them. Some humility is a good thing protect them from any cool breezes I use a spray bottle a couple times a day with room temp water never use cool tap water.

I hand selected the eggs from hens that I wanted to duicate..sorta anyways.

I have a few different roosters so it's kinda like christmas..waiting to see what's in the packages.lol

Not knowing the outcome is the fun part for me the odd combos are my favorite ones I’m looking for this or that trait in the newer birds it’s a hoot.

They should be peeping soon if not now. Do like Law Dog says. I put a little vinegar in their water for a while if it's hot. You shouldn't have to do much the first couple days. They have a few days supply of egg yolk inside them and they will get their energy from that. They will sleep a lot.

None yet. I didn't set them till 11 pm..(after Jerry was good and asleep) lol

Next morning he was lime..what's with all the eggs in the incubator.

He gonna miss the hatching though he's with his brother taking fur to their buyers and he won't be home till Thursday afternoon/ evenin.

Took the turner out today chicks should start hatching on Friday the 13th. Lol

I've got peeps and pips in the shells.

The humidity and temperature are in the right range so now I just gotta wait.

I know one thing..a watched egg never hatches.lol.
I had to leave the house so I'd quit standing there staring at em.

i have a little game hen out setting and had 2 plymouth rock hens go broody a couple days ago. Hopefully have a bunch of biddies running around by 1st of next month

Be careful. I started out hatching chickens, but passed that job on to the hens for the most part. Now my incubator is full of turkeys and quail. Just pulled a dozen turkeys 165 quail out of the incubator today and will have that many again next week and the week after.

I've promised to retire the incubator... no meeting of the minds on for hiw long though.lol

I seriously have all the chickens I need.

Jerry would.like some guineas but I haven't had any luck finding any fertilized eggs around here.

Hed like a few pigeons also but same deal with them. I have looked but can't find any fertilized eggs.
We've thought about netting some pigeons at Rural King but we kinda figured that wouldn't go over too good.

I have some toulouse geese too. 3 of them.
