How much do you spend each day on food for yourself.?
I try to eat somewhat healthy but it's getting tougher.
Have a hard time doing it on less ten 15.00$ per day.
How bout you?

I don't eat much and $10 per day is plenty, not counting tobacco and booze.

Geez it's hard to figure for just one since it's me and my husband.

On a work day, we fend for ourselves for breakfast and lunch. I usually do toast and jelly for breakfast so, maybe $0.50? The jelly's homemade. Lunch I do a sandwich... bread, mayo, lunchmeat and cheese. Not sure on cost, but I'd say less than $3. Supper is where the cost is. We eat a lot of chicken and pork, some seafood. A starch and a canned or frozen veggie. Dinner is probably usually at least $10 for the 2 of us. So I guess $8-9 BUT that doesn't include drinks or any snacks.

My food budget is around 400$ a month for me and the wife-we eat good.beef steaks,roasts.pork chops and roasts,Hams,bacon,Chicken,turkey,fish,and snack stuff like kielbassa,pepperetts etc.Make lots of soups and stews in winter and lots of BBQ in summer on the deck.
We generally have lots of wild meat too.The wife especially likes moose.
I'm not much for the foreign foods like italian or mexican or chinese,but the wife likes that stuff so I eat it a bit.

Everyday is different. Today $3 for coffee made a bunch of meals for us

I don't even try keep track.

I'm very thankful the kids are all grown up. They'd be eating one potato a day.

This time of year being stuck on a tractor or sprayer I’d say $5 or so. I try and not eat when just sitting and no manual labor. We eat out once or maybe twice a month and that’s crazy expensive.

You might try making a batch of spaghetti early in the week. It will run you about $7 a batch. I put a whole box of noodles, 1# of browned hamburger mixed with canned sauce…actually cheaper in the long run if you go with store bought sauce but not as tasty. You’ll get about 7 very large servings out of it. It can be reheated easy for lunch or supper. Be sure to take advantage of reusable Tupperware.

You might also want to try soft shell spaghetti tacos…pick your condiments…there is no better delivery device!

M-F I eat half a sandwich and an apple. Then whatever for supper = $3.50 a day?

I plan on $20 a day but if I make a big crockpot meal that feeds me 3+ days I come in under that. Price excludes copious amounts of tobacco and caffeine laden energy drinks because I count those as daily vitamins

There is no pasta on the shelves of my local grocers, it's wiped out. Some blame it on the war but I think it's mostly the cheapest thing most people eat. Gas hit $4.399 today. Highest I've ever seen it.

I stock up on creamettes when they go on sale…typically less than $1 per box. You can also stock up on soft shell wraps when they’re on sale…they freeze good. You honestly can’t beat a soft shell spaghetti taco!

They can also be wrapped in tinfoil and heated up on the manifold while you’re trapping if you want something warm…just a pointer for you diehard long liners.

$15 to $18 a day,around $500 a month,thank's joe $350 to $400 before joe took charge.

Easy to figure out-keep your grocery bills from the store for a month.
Be tough to figure wild meat or homegrown-lots of calculations there.
I take most of my wild meat when trapping.Always adding meat to the pot daily when trapping.Dont go out of my way to get it but wont pass up any that presents itself.

I should keep better track but I have no idea. We feed 6 people, 7 if you count the little one but he’s on the boob. It’s probably depressing how much our food bill actually is.

I am very frugal. I do all the cooking and grocery shopping for the two of us. I doubt it costs us more than $10/day to feed both of us. We, rarely, eat pasta. I do chicken or beef salad sandwiches from leftovers for lunches. The lady has a salad with chicken or steak, or other leftovers for her lunches. We eat a protein, salad and rice or tater for most dinners. We put a half a beef in the freezer last fall for about $4/#. I buy pork and chicken in large quantities at Sam's Club and freeze in different sized portions for different meal objectives. I also make/freeze up large batches of breakfast burritos and breakfast biscuits.

running the numbers quickly we spent 312 dollars at the grocery store that is 1 weeks food and household items for 4 adults so 11.14 a person a day. some of it will last longer than a week but there will also be other things like laundry soap another week.

could I do it on less , yes , we eat quite well

I don't eat carbs hardly at all so no rice, pasta or bread fillers for me

there is also a fair amount of fruit in that berries , apples , oranges , and I eat a lot of nuts

beer was a separate purchase but I don't drink much of that either so a 12 pack might last a few weeks.

I also have some salvage meat and wild game but it only made up one protein in this weeks meals

Tough to say. Probably $8.00 but we can and raise all of our vegetables and meat. So if you figure electric or gas to cook or the sweat that goes into it- it's tough to say. Some days we feel like we eat for free. Right now we have asparagus breakfast and dinner. We have a lot of spring onions now so onions and asparagus omelets for breakfast. My wife makes bread. We buy coffee like other people. Lunch has been deer jerky, our own salads, home made soups, Dinner has chicken and asparagus and potatoes lately. Steaks and stews are pretty cheap for us. Out grocery bill is usually $30.00 a week and it's only for things light flour, sugar, yeast, beans, coffee, fresh fruit, ect. Things we do not have or do not make.
You can save lot buying meat that is ready to expire at the meat counter as mentioned above.

If you have land it pays to raise your own pork, chicken, or beef.
