I found an unusual (for me) 22 magnum at a gun show not long ago. It's an H & R model 700 semi auto magazine fed rifle. It's the only one I have ever seen, but just a fair shooter.

I bought one in 63 not long after they were introduced. A Winchester pump. Still shoots well but if I wanted one now I would get a Winchester 22 super mag. One of my farm customers bought one and his 17HMR gathers dust now.
22 mag ammo is a bit higher now then in the 60s but I do see it at gun shows often. A bit pricey at $20 a box but like all ammo if you want it you will probably need to get used to the prices now.

I thought my Marlin was a good shooter till I shot my daughter's Ruger American. The adjustable trigger is so much better.

The Marlin , have had it for40 years, good gun. but my favorite is the 94/22M, cant put it down. I also have a 597M I believe, nice gun, but the mag sucks.

I would love to have a Henry Lever .22 mag. I have one in .22 LR that is a tack driver.

Also got a win 94-22m that I bought after I sold my 94 30-30. Also purchased a CZ 455 in 22 M. Both fun to shoot but squirrel hunting kind of makes ugly pictures even with head shots. Grandkids will have fun with them. 22 Mag is a fun round

Love my .22 mag. Killed a lot of coyotes with it.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Never shot the Mossberg but I really like my Marlin 25MN. I've got a 2-7x33 on it and opened up the barrel channel just a bit. Mine will hold 5 round 1 1/4"-1 1/2" groups at 75 yds with the Hornady 36gr V-Max.

Agreed. I have a Savage model 93 which is very similar to your Marlin. Got it over 20 years ago for less than $160. Put a cheap Weaver 3x9 scope on it with rings (don't remember what they cost).

Best gun I ever had. Haven't sighted it in since I mounted the scope and still shoots 1/2" groups at 50 yards. Never clean it, stays in the truck, and has killed everything to squirrel headshots, to coyotes and hogs out past 100 yards. Most useful gun I own.

Mine is a take down marlin 25 mb. Very cool little gun and accurate as (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman). I put full size rings on it for .22 receiver grooves and was able to put a decent 4x scope on it. Killed a lot of coyotes with it.
Came with two 7 shot clips, again a pretty neat little bolt gun. Ive had mine since 80s.

Speaking of 9422M, have one in the safe that killed many a hog. Not a beater gun at all though. Gave $350 for it many years ago.
And I know where a brand new, still in the box one is that is the Wincam laminated stock.

Neither are for sale though.
