Dirty D OP trapper D Joined: Nov 2014 Posts: 1,939 east central WI	How are my fellow Wisconsinites doing on the search for morels? I have been finding a few but they are SMALL. The top parts are approx 3/4-1" tall only. No "normal" sized ones at all. The only ones we have been able to find are in areas that I have burned this spring. In areas that I have not burned the leaf litter is thicker than the morels and there is no way you'd find them there. I wonder if they are so small due to the dry summer, fall and winter we are just coming out of. what is everyone else seeing?

Was in a spot I've been going for years. All theses in a 20x20 ft area?? Ground here still seems pretty dry some rain wouldn't hurt. We were in lower part of the valley. Was really dry on top.
