Thas great. Be proud as heck!
I seen the title and thought "the guy from Kentucky " was back. Lol,lol,
swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo
You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

Let her be a kid too. Ride ponies and fall off. Get back on. Do the mundane things in chores. She will know that learning is in the challenges. The misses.
The best horse trainers like to say, work with the horse that shows up. Not what you are expecting. If they are in a mood, work with that only. If they are excelling, treat them like a pro. If they are subdued and moody, balance that with encouragement and council that they can reach. If they fail, show them that’s the way of the ones who learn to run with horses. To run with horses , figuratively, is to learn strength and endurance , without pride , always willing to learn and discern wisdom.
What a fun ride in life to share.

Only about yourself but I’m happy to listen to you brag about your grandkids any day. Sounds like a special little girl who undoubtedly takes after her grandmother.

I would be pretty proud too. Where did those smarts come from?
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

My legitimate concern though is this, she is aware that she is gifted and I want two things for her. First that it does not seperate her socially and that she takes absolutely nothing for granted or given. I'm already pulling her aside and telling her that I expect her to do her best. They had me in the special gifted classes too. (not math though) We never really thought much of it except that it was really cool to be ahead of the rest of the kids. We were not taught to look down on the other kids. I do remember though being so impatient when the slower kids would read something aloud in class because I had no grasp of why they could not read well.

Never met a grand dad that didn't brag about his grand kids, including me! She sounds like a sharp one. Better stay on your toes. Yep in a blink she'll be snapping then fingers and grandad will be jumping! Fun ain't it? lol
you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

What a fun ride in life to share. I would say this but only add follow this even when the going gets tough. My oldest daughter had a horse roll on her and break her arm. Hardest thing for me to do was to back off and let her ride again!
