Daughter and I found a wild asparagus spot. Girl loves all things outdoors! Went great with the grilled food that night.

Thats great! Our neighbor has wild asparagus growing in their pasture, and they don't eat it. We get it and its great, constantly watered by the horses, a donkey, and goats.

We have folks travel the roads and cut it without asking anyone around. Then sell it at farmers markets.

I never let them mature like that because I like to eat them raw with some ranch dressing. Way better than celery sticks.

No we found it along the road in a ditch next to our property that has been farmed for many years. There is a lot of it in our general area.

We would normally pick it sooner as well I noticed it driving by that is how mature some of the stalks were. Some past the point of picking. I told Grace that is seed for next year.

Asparagus is the best thing ever to pickle, I like mine just a wee bit on the hot side.
