One pound three ounces They look just like a couple of big baked potatoes. Giants!
I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Our beaver generally can't get more than a couple feet from the water. It's too difficult for them to walk. AND......the water they live in has to be quite deep ! They call their beaver John Holmes beaver.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Paul, those look like they're hard on the inside, ie: barkstone?

In your opinion is the quality of mineralized castor as good as regular for your purposes?

Hard as mineralized or hard as packed tight? Now I’m getting a little worried about myself.

The ones I pictured are hard but still a little pliable at the same time.
At first we wondered if someone had stuffed them with something but there are no signs of that and the shells themselves are huge so it hasn't been manipulated that we can tell

So Cathryn, you are confirming that size does matter?

Hey! We're trying to have a serious beaver conversation. Sheesh! Here's another beaver shot: Do you reckon maybe this ol' boy had some size that mattered?

He looks full of it. For sure. Same as most men I know. Seriously though. We didn't know if castor would be bigger on through the ice caught beaver? I wasn't expecting to see a huge set from VA and then someone saying they have heard or seen are castor in NC.
