Eastern basin of Lake Erie is top notch So plentiful and large most treat them as a trash species getting in the way of walleye and perch fishing

Mille Lacs Lake in Central Minnesota is pretty amazing for monster smallies, Green Bay and for sheer numbers, some of the lakes in the Quetico National Forest can be a fish on every cast.
Life is short, tomorrow is promised to none of us. Make the best of every day you have

The Juniata River near Mexico, PA.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

I have run a few people on Mille Lacs and it was special indeed late last fall. Our member James was on that water last September and I don’t think they did real well, I was surprised. Hit and miss like any other water? That lake would still be one of the top on my list. Osky

I have fished Mille Lacs, Green Bay, the Susquehanna River, Dale Hollow Lake, Lake St. Clair etc etc
The best small mouth fishing for size and quantity of that size is on the St Lawrence River and Lake Ontario. You can catch lots of big ones. Fished a college derb there and our best 5 went something like 22 pounds. We caught 20 pounds the next day for a 2 day total of 42 pounds. We came in 80 something place
Gotta live up to the nickname...

Lake Erie would be near the top of my list. I've seen large numbers of monster fish come off the deep reefs on that lake as well as some huge incidentals caught by steelhead and walleye fishermen. There used to be a widely repeated theory that the next record fish was going to come out of Lake Erie.
Just happy to be here.
