How do i remove speed dip from traps?

I just did some last night soak in 50/50 white vinegar and water for two or three days then pressure wash them

does this have any negative effects on spring streanth ? is there any other method?

I believe IF you leave them in that vinegar solution for too long it could.
I’d recommend just soaking the dipped traps in a bucket of Coleman’s fuel over night and steel brushing
any residue off that is left on the traps.
Can I ask are the dipped traps gummed up bad or tacky to the touch?
If not use them for a season and have the caught animals wear the dip off.

some are tackey some are peeling some are fine cant understand why someone would use this stuff espicially on old jumps

Sand in a cement mixer will remove it and polish them up like new. I would wrap up the chains and wire it to the trap to prevent the chains from wrapping up in the paddles. Once they have been cleaned you can treat them as you like.


Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.
