I've had better luck with 8" but that's not saying my 6" tunes don't work.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

Can a skunk raise its' tail enough to spray when in an 8" tube??

Can a skunk raise its' tail enough to spray when in an 8" tube?? If it can't see you it doesn't matter. Theoretically you can catch them in a 36" tube and they won't spray as long as they don't have a target.

Thank you all for clearing that up. Always went out of my way to avoid catching them. And when I did, I was never close enough that they got a chance to spray me. I may consider some limited adc work in the future, now that I got plenty of time, so learning all I can about cage trapping.
