It will be good to be home. I wish your wife and you the best.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

You are a prince of a man standing by and helping your wife so much. May God bless you much through the rest of this journey!! Thanks, it was what i knew I had to do. So glad I'm self employed, I only had to work a couple days a week or not at all. The go fund me my daughter set up covered my bills, food, travel, her needed items. There was a nursing grad student that stayed with us in the morning, helped get ready for therapy a few days, then she had finals. First morning she comes in, says hi to Kathy, how you doing Then turns to me , and you, she says, I hear you are quite the guy!! I'm famous lol I'm very glad Kathy is still alive

Tac 20, I'm not sure if we've met along the way but I know a lot about you from your post. I know you are honoring the covenant established by God for a husband and a wife as every man was created to do. What a wonderful testimony through this time of hardship.
"For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh." Genesis 2:24.
The one-flesh is foundational in God's Creation-Redemption-Restoration plan and though you and your wife are suffering for a little while, I would bet my last dollar (I support many stroke patients in my hospital chaplaincy efforts) that you and your wife have looked at each other in ways only the two of you can know. Indescribable love sir. One-flesh on display. Amidst all the anxiety, and fear, and uncertainty. She has relied upon you as you upon her in ways only a covenantal one-flesh love can understand. I would imagine both you would say that It is all beyond our human words. But is is 100% true and more precious than any gold or treasure.
Our bodies fail and slowly weaken, and sometimes these processes are hurried along as you and your wife have found out. But fast or slow, failing bodies or healing efforts.... one thing is sure. The one-flesh bond of one man with one woman. There's NOTHING created quite like it. Praise God.
And I won't ask you to describe it because you couldn't anyway. It just is. By Grace and His Mercy we are born, sustained, and live our lives.
You're in my prayers for God's gift of moments of peace and rest during these times of suffering. I promise you and her will look back and smile about the depth and rekindling of many things in both of your lives that are happening right now.
Blessings, Mark Very nice thing to say Mark, it helps a lot, I didn't really have anyone to talk to, I handled it with only God's help

When we are healthy we all have a thousand things that we wish for .When a major set back comes along that affects our health the one thing we wish for is to just feel better again It sounds like you and your wife have had time just wishing and wanting to feel better again . I have a serious health issue also. I try to remind myself to ask for wisdom strength and courage to face problems that can come with each day. Keep working on your recovery .It sounds like both of you are strong . And that attitude of not giving up will be the one thing that eventually gets both of you through this difficult time So true, I couldn't even hardly eat first two days, I didn't feel like it, only wanted to be with her
